Our educational programs are tailored to the interests and needs of the particular group and designed within the constraints of the natural rhythms of farm life. The organized tours last between an hour and an hour and a half, although there is never any rush; we want you to take all the time you need to come to know and love the farm. Families
Families are very welcome and strongly encouraged to visit often to experience how the land and activities of the farm change through the seasons. Over the course of repeated visits, you may find a favorite spot to rest in or time of day for your visit. The farm is certainly a lovely, refreshing place. Whether a single visit to learn about something particular, or repeated visits to add to your growing knowledge of the farming life, we hope our families will become great friends.
School Groups, Homeschool Programs, and Summer Camps
Our programs for school groups are very casual and personally attentive; we prefer to let the children explore and ask lots of questions, as long as they follow the few simple rules of contact with the plants and animals that are discussed at the beginning of their visit. Because of this open approach, our educational programs are geared for small groups of children, no more than 10 or 12, with one adult accompanying every four children in attendance. The school programs are appropriate for children ages 6 and up.
